DJ Aqeel, born Aqeel Ali in Mumbai in 1977, is an iconic figure in India’s music scene, often referred to as the “Don of Remixes.” He gained nationwide fame in the early 2000s for pioneering Bollywood remix culture, releasing chart-topping mashup albums such as Shake It Daddy Mix and Daddy Mix that became staples in clubs and weddings. Over the years, he produced hundreds of official remixes for Bollywood tracks, redefining how cinema music was experienced on dance floors. DJ Aqeel has performed at major events and luxury venues across India and internationally, including prestigious music festivals and corporate events. He was among the first Indian DJs to perform at the World Economic Forum, entertaining global dignitaries.
