Haricharan Seshadri, born on 20 March 1987 in Chennai, is a celebrated playback singer and Carnatic vocalist active in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, Hindi, and other Indian languages. Trained in Carnatic music from a young age by renowned gurus, he recorded his first Tamil film song at just 17. His early breakthrough came with the song “Thuli Thuli” from Paiyaa (2010), after which he became a go-to voice for composers across South Indian cinema. Haricharan has sung over 2,000 film songs, blending classical precision with contemporary versatility. He received his first National Award nomination in 2005, and won the Filmfare Award for Best Male Playback Singer Telugu in 2014 for “Saripovu Koti” from Karthikeya. He is also part of the famed Colonial Cousins-style duo Colonial Cousins Ensemble projects, bringing fusion music to the masses.
