Sadhana Sargam (साधना सरगम), born Sadhana Ghanekar on March 7, 1969, in Dabhol, Maharashtra, is a legendary Indian playback singer whose illustrious career spans over four decades and across 36 languages, including Hindi, Tamil, Marathi, Telugu, Bengali, and more. Trained in classical music from a young age by her mother and later under Pandit Jasraj, she made her playback debut in the early 1980s and quickly rose to fame with songs in films like “Vidhaata” and “Janbaaz.” Renowned for her melodious voice and versatility, she has recorded over 15,000 songs, including iconic tracks like “Saat Samundar Paar” and the timeless duet “Pehla Nasha.” Sadhana is also celebrated for her contributions to devotional and meditative music and has been honored with numerous accolades, including a National Film Award, several state awards, and the Lata Mangeshkar Award.
