Starting out in the early 1990s with heavy metal bands like Witch-Hammer, Paresh soon became integral to the city’s vibrant indie and jazz-fusion circuits, playing with bands such as Krysys, Chakraview, Spice-Tribe, and the acclaimed Divya ensemble. His significant break came as a founding member and lead guitarist in Kailasa, the celebrated Sufi-fusion band formed alongside his brother Naresh Kamath and singer Kailash Kher.
