Avantika Bakshi is a New Delhi–born DJ, producer, and trained vocalist celebrated for her evocative and genre-defying live sets. Initially pursuing a business career, she shifted gears in 2014 by studying electronic music production in New York, then launched her professional DJ career in India around 2015. Drawing on classical Indian vocal training, rock influence, and spirituality—particularly the Bhagavad Gita—she blends house, deep house, progressive house, melodic techno, and tribal/Afro beats into soulful, emotionally driven performances. Avantika was the first Indian DJ to play at major international stages such as Exit Festival in Serbia, and has performed in cities like Berlin, London, Amsterdam, Mumbai, and New York, as well as at iconic global events like Burning Man. Her sets are known for their storytelling arc, balancing rhythmic intensity with meditative depth.
