DJ NYK (real name Nikhil Sahni) is a Delhi-born DJ, music producer, radio host, visual artist, coach, and label owner who began his career around 2004 in the clubs of New Delhi. Over the years, he became well-known for blending Bollywood music with EDM, pioneering mashups and remixes that brought cinematic Indian sound into electronic dance contexts. He hosted popular radio shows like Rock the Party and Saturday Night Fever, and is credited with introducing video DJing to the Indian music landscape. NYK founded Play Life Records and launched music podcasts that spotlight emerging electronic artists. His official remixes for Bollywood songs—including chart-toppers like “Chammak Challo” and “Aye Khuda”—became widely popular, and he went on to remix for numerous major Bollywood films. A frequent performer at music festivals, corporate events, and international venues, DJ NYK has toured extensively and won awards such as VH1 MyFav for Best Bollywood DJ multiple times. His work helped propel DJ culture into Indian mainstream music.
