DJ Project is a Romanian dance music duo formed in 2000 in Timișoara by producers Gino Manzotti and DJ Maxx. They pioneered a vibrant blend of Euro-dance, pop, and house, quickly becoming one of Romania’s most successful electronic acts. Their breakthrough arrived with the 2004 hit single “Lumea Ta,” which topped Romanian charts for nearly a year and earned an international re-release through Ministry of Sound. Over two decades, DJ Project has released nine studio albums—including Experience, Spune‑mi tot ce vrei, Povestea mea, and Două anotimpuri—and multiple chart‑topping singles such as “Privirea Ta,” “Șoapte,” “Încă o noapte,” and “Mi‑e dor de noi.” They received several national awards including MTV Europe Music Awards for Best Romanian Act and Best Dance Group honors. Known for memorable female guest vocalists and emotional dance hooks, DJ Project has performed internationally and remains a cornerstone of Eastern Europe’s pop-dance culture.
