Fazilpuria, born Rahul Yadav on April 10, 1990, in Fazilpur Jharsa near Gurugram, Haryana, is a popular Indian singer, rapper, and lyricist best known for bringing Haryanvi music to mainstream Bollywood. He adopted his stage name to celebrate his roots, determined to popularize his hometown and Haryanvi language through music. Raised in a prosperous business family, Fazilpuria initially faced ridicule for his accent but turned that into a mark of pride and identity. He shot to fame in 2014 with the chartbuster “Chull” in collaboration with Badshah—a track later featured in the Bollywood film “Kapoor & Sons.” His energetic, urban-desi style has yielded hits like “Jimmy Choo,” “Party,” “Lala Lori,” “Pallo Latke,” “Gori Ghani,” and “Millionaire,” carving a distinct space in both regional and Bollywood music circles. Educated at Ajanta Public School and a BTech graduate from Ansal Institute of Technology, Fazilpuria is also socially active and was a Jannayak Janta Party candidate in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. In July 2025, he narrowly escaped a shooting incident in Gurugram but continues to remain influential, known for his luxury lifestyle, lively public persona, and commitment to uplifting Haryanvi music on national platforms.
