Kutle Khan (born 10 January 1984 in Rajasthan) is an acclaimed folk and Sufi artist rooted in the Manganiyar musical tradition. Trained by his father, Ustad Jethu Khan, from the age of eight, he left formal schooling early to pursue music full time. He became known both as a solo performer and as the founder of The Kutle Khan Project, a group that blends rich Rajasthani folk with electronica, Western instrumentation, and Sufi textures. His breakthrough came with a standout performance on Coke Studio @ MTV, and he later lent his voice to Bollywood films such as Aambala, Afwaah, Dahaad, and Love Shaadi Drama. Kutle has released albums including The Kutle Khan Project (2016) and the EP Beyond Dunes. He has received recognition including the Best Folk Single Award at GiMA 2015 for “Moomal” and was honored as Best Folk Singer of the Year at the Indian Icon Film Awards in 2019. Having performed in over 80 countries, his performances are celebrated for their deep-rooted tradition, multi-instrumental finesse, and compelling fusion of past and present.
