Shaan Rahman, born on December 30, 1979, in Thalassery, Kerala, is a celebrated Indian composer and singer best known for his innovative contributions to the Malayalam film industry. Beginning his musical journey with the popular album “Coffee at MG Road” in 2008, Shaan made his film composing debut with “Ee Pattanathil Bhootham” in 2009. He is renowned for his frequent collaborations with filmmaker Vineeth Sreenivasan, notably in films like “Malarvaadi Arts Club,” “Thattathin Marayathu,” “Jacobinte Swargarajyam,” and the widely adored single “Jimikki Kammal” from “Velipadinte Pusthakam.” Throughout his career, Shaan has consistently delivered chart-topping soundtracks, blending traditional and modern sounds. Beyond film music, he founded the Shaan Rahman Music Conservatory in Kochi, offering training in various music disciplines. Married to Zaira since 2009 and father to son Rayaan, Shaan continues to inspire with his distinctive melodies and pivotal role in shaping contemporary Malayalam music
