Sohail Sen (born 24 June 1984 in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh) is an Indian music composer, singer, and instrumentalist best known for his versatile contributions to Bollywood. A fourth-generation musician, he hails from a celebrated musical family—his grandfather Shambhu Sen was a renowned classical vocalist, and his father Sameer Sen was part of the composer duo Dilip-Sen & Sameer-Sen. Trained in tabla and classical vocals from an early age, Sohail mastered several instruments before making his film debut with Sirf (2008). He rose to prominence with Ashutosh Gowariker’s What’s Your Raashee? (2009), which featured 12 unique songs representing each zodiac sign. He went on to deliver hit soundtracks for films such as Mere Brother Ki Dulhan (2011), Ek Tha Tiger (2012), Gunday (2014), and Happy Bhag Jayegi (2016). Known for blending Indian classical, folk, and contemporary sounds, Sohail continues to bring freshness and melody to modern Indian cinema.
