Taaruk Raina, born on September 29, 1994 in Mumbai, is a multi-talented Indian actor, singer, songwriter, composer, and TV presenter best known for his role as Anmol Malhotra in Netflix’s hit series “Mismatched.” Immersed in music from the age of six, he is largely self-taught, drawing inspiration from rock, rap, metal, and ghazals, initially developing his skills by watching YouTube tutorials and performing at bars and weddings. Taaruk began his entertainment journey as a TV host on “Dil Hai Hindustani” in 2017 and as an assistant director for Aditya Chopra in “Befikre” (2015), before landing roles in films like “High Jack” (2018) and acclaimed web series such as “Pawan & Pooja,” “The Broken News,” “Jugaadistan,” and “Sharmaji Namkeen.” Apart from acting, he has released original music singles like “Narazi” and “Sukoon,” often composing or singing for his own projects. A graduate in Culture Studies and Music from Monash University, Melbourne, Taaruk is celebrated for blending acting with original music in his performances and is considered one of the most dynamic young artists in India’s contemporary entertainment landscape.
