Tanmaya Bhatnagar (born March 12, 1993, in Nashik, India) is an introspective singer-songwriter and self-taught musician based in Germany, whose calm yet emotionally resonant sound bridges Hindi and English indie pop. Emerging to acclaim in 2020 with her breakout single “Kya Tum Naraaz Ho?”, she quickly established a reputation for deeply personal lyricism and intimate acoustic storytelling. Her debut EP Wherever I Go, I’d Like To Be All I Need (2021) explores vulnerability and healing through hushed vocals, ambient textures, and luminous piano-guitar arrangements. In May 2025, she released her first Hindi-language EP, Phoolon Sa Dil, which she composed while navigating early motherhood—capturing themes of love, grief, loss, and transformation through standout songs like “Kinaare,” “Noor,” and “Supriya.” Tanmaya draws creative inspiration from artists such as Elliott Smith and Bon Iver, and her community-driven songwriting invites listeners into shared emotional experience. Her understated, heartfelt approach continues making her one of India’s most affecting voices in contemporary indie music.
