Aabha Hanjura embarked on her musical journey by auditioning for the second season of “Indian Idol” at the age of seventeen. Although she did not appear on the show, she pursued her passion for music, founding the pop band “Sufistication” in 2012. In 2017, she released the single “Hukus Bukus,” which gained widespread acclaim and was featured in the Indian film “No Fathers in Kashmir” and the television series “The Family Man.” Over the years, Aabha has released several singles and EPs, including “Khoobsurat” and “Sufistication Folk Sessions,” showcasing her versatility and commitment to preserving and modernizing Kashmiri musical traditions.
