Initially, he composed music for theater productions and jingles, gradually transitioning to non-film albums. His breakthrough in the film industry came with the 2008 film Aamir, where he composed the music. However, it was his work on the 2009 film Dev.D that garnered widespread acclaim, showcasing his versatility and innovative approach to music composition. Over the years, Trivedi has composed music for numerous successful films, including Wake Up Sid (2009), Udaan (2010), Queen (2013), Katti Batti (2015), and Secret Superstar (2017).
