Tips for completing the game Seven: The Days Long Gone. Passing Game #041

How to defeat Wildermage in The Mire?

The swamp is a large place in the 03 zone of the island of Peh. This place is visited during several side quests, one of which is called The Heart of Madness (you can pick it up at one of the contract stations). The ultimate goal of this quest requires you to get rid of the wild mage that remains in the Swamp. It's not easy to eliminate it. A wild mage will not die from normal attacks because he can resurrect. Below you can find out how to get rid of the wild magician once and for all.

The wild mage's hideout is located in the center of the Swamp. You can get to this place by numerous ledges that are high in the air. You can recognize this place by the purple energy walls that are visible from afar (this is the place in the picture).

Get there and start sneaking - crouch while moving and keep using, for example, invisibility. A wild magician can start hunting you if he discovers the hero prematurely. The enemy can teleport, which means that from now on you will have to run and dodge a lot.

Find five pylons and sabotage them to get rid of the field. The cables leading to the pylons are visible in Sense Mode - scan at least one of them. Three pylons are easy to reach, but the remaining two are more difficult to reach.:

Pylon 1 is located under a wooden balcony, from which you probably started exploring this area.

Pylon 2 is located on an external concrete balcony.

Do not attack the wild mage if he finds you while you are sabotaging the pylons. Even if you manage to defeat him, the enemy will resurrect. Run and jump to avoid massive damage.

After that, you can return to the heart and take it. This immediately kills the Wildermage (you don't have to fight it).

For example, the default price for one small syringe restoring health is 18 avrits. The aforementioned weapon costs 5 of these syringes - they weigh almost nothing.

The problem here is that polymer lock picks cannot be made immediately. You must first spend components and aurite to upgrade craft stations to Level II (for more information, see the Craft chapter). You will also need suitable materials - 30 basic polymer components and 50 aurites.
Note - you do not need to create additional lock picks. The metal ones that are already in your inventory will just become more effective.

The second update is the Techno Lockpick Upgrade. The best chance to get it is during the main quest "Down the rabbit hole". The last goal of this quest is exploration.
